High School Program Coming This Fall

Beginning September 2015 the Laurentian Nordic Ski Club will be offering dry-land training sessions for high school students aged 14-17. These sessions will consist of activities such as running, ski bounding, strength training, and physical activity based games.

The program is designed to prepare students for the 2016 high school skiing race season, and introduce interested students to the sport of cross-country skiing. Students will receive training plans and coaching with one-on-one instruction, focused on assisting students in setting and achieving both performance, and personal health and physical activity goals.

Sessions will run from September 15 until late November and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 and  irregular Saturdays, at the Laurentian Nordic Ski Trails. Cost of the Fall program will be $60.00, students/parents who may be interested, or with any questions about the program  and associated costs are encouraged to contact Andrew Kendall at aj_kendall@laurentian.ca. Laurentian Nordic will also be offering on snow training for high school students this coming winter.
